The Surface of the Moon
Working in porcelain, David has continued to make his Sound Illuminated Sculptures. This one, The Surface of the Moon, is the largest, most complex piece he has made. Double Crystal with Bronze Frog
David designed a circuit that responds to sound in 1978. He started making necklaces, bracelets, even rings with a circuit that he built by hand. He also made small standing bells and sculpture. The recent incarnation uses much more powerful LED's, so he is able to light larger pieces, including these crystals. On this site are two videos of the first and second generations of his work.

Frog on a Rock
David designed this frog for our daughter's ring many years ago, she gave him "permission" to use it forward in new ideas. In 18k yellow gold, the electronic version's eyes light up in response to sound. The original all bronze version is not sound activated, as is one that he will make in bronze and put on a black basalt rock for $250.
