Black Onyx "Tuxedo" Earrings with Diamonds
I'd had these black onyx "Tuxedo" cut stones for many years - in that special stash of favorite stones that I would one day get about setting - so, when a favorite client came along - with just the right personality to wear and enjoy and care for the stones, well, I pulled them out and shared. David set the onyx with a line of exquisite diamonds running down the sides - keep it simple - let the wearer and the art make the statement.

David designed this white Agate disc - once again an amulet with a Cognac Diamond on center and a lustrous fresh water pearl suspended from the bottom. This pendant was designed to hang from a large cobra chain.

Yowah Opal Earrings with Tsavorite Garnets
Do you remember the spectacular OPAL shows we used to have when we had the shop every "Opal" month, October? The Yowah Opals in these earrings are from the collection we had from our good Australian based friend Madeline. We made so many wonderful custom pieces from all of those stones. In this pair we used the brilliant green Tsavorite Garnets to pick up the greens in the stones. These were made to hang from our "charm earrings".

Bamboo Ring
Bamboo leaves wrap over the top in an open work pattern as the stems border each side. The bamboo stem continues inside, to keep the circle complete. The large design is perfectly balanced by David's "shank" , curving in to fit comfortably between the fingers as well as keeping the ring from rolling around the finger. 14k yellow gold and white gold. Princess cut Diamond in Black Jade Band
Black Jade is such a strong statement and with the addition of the .48ct square cut diamond, it's a beauty. David purchased a huge slab of black jade from an old prospector who discovered it in Wyoming in the 50's, and he has been carving away at this piece for 10 or 15 years for various jewelry designs. 14ky gold, size 10.

Puzzle Ring with Black Jade
David began making the four ring puzzle ring in 1971. He custom cuts and sets stones in each segment or designing rivers, mountains, or whatever strickes his fancy ,across the top. This ring has black jade in each segment, a dynamic, strong stone. Chrysoprase Ring

David has long been enamored by the cellular fire of the Mexican Fire Agate. For years he has been collecting very particular stones, this piece he custom cut with clipped corners and a polished flat top. On the surface of chocolate brown are highlights of greens with reds and golden yellows at the edges. Made in 14k yellow gold, size 6.

Holly Blue Agate Ring
This ring features David’s ongoing love of the tree and branch motif. The branches hold a 10mm high cab of Holley Blue Agate from Oregon. Many years ago, David began using the inverted sides on the shank for a most comfortable fit, with a “faceted” bottom to the shank. 14k yellow gold. Size 6 1/2.

Spessartite Ring
David circled the design for this spessartite garnet for several years. Carved by Bernd Munsteiner, who is one of our stone carving heroes, it weighs 5.55 ct. At last, David saw the "granite pillars" of the Pacific N.W. as the motif, setting 20 cognac diamonds in the "crevices". The ring is size seven, made in 14k yellow gold.

Tahitian Pearl Ring
This luscious silver white Tahitian pearl, approximately 23 mm x 18 mm, is surrounded in seemingly liquid 18k white gold, as though it were still deep in the ocean. With such beautiful luster and surface, David simply accentuated the curves and as with all of his work, made a most comfortable, well balanced ring. Size 5 1/2.

David designed these two square bands with a “wrapped” high polish motif and stippled, sanded background. The bands are square outside with a comfort round hole.

Grandmother, Mother, Mine and More
It is a pleasure to create a mounting for the family stones, a piece of jewelry that encompasses stones passed down, stones acquired and one or two added for good measure...note the small opening at the bottom of the shank - one more important stone just for the wearer on the bottom of the ring. The opening? Very important, we leave openings to clean the stones so the sparkle continues.
